Parallels in Practice: Applying Principles of Research Integrity and Ethics in Domestic Violence Fatality Review (DVFR)

Abstract Purpose Within the context of big data society, new systems collection on domestic violence and abuse (DVA) have emerged. One such system is Domestic Violence Fatality Review (DVFR) which captures various dimensions gender, violence, required to form an evidence base for prevention. However, date, there has been limited dialogue between practitioners researchers about ‘doing’ DVFRs. Method As DVFR vary by jurisdiction, we conducted a case study Homicide Reviews (DHRs) in England Wales. Applying Research Integrity Framework (RIF) developed four Women’s Aid Federations United Kingdom (UK), this article examines both practice DHR how it utilised as research. Results Informed our situated perspectives and/or working field, analysis demonstrates undertaking practitioner parallels collecting, accessing, analysing from DHRs researcher .
